The Philippines will hold a tender for 500,000 tons of rice for delivery between April and June on April 17, the state-run National Food Authority said on Thursday.

The tender will consist of 400,000 tons of 25 percent broken variety, 50,000 tons of 15 percent broken and 50,000 tons of 5 percent broken, the NFA said.

Possible sources for the grain will be Thailand, Vietnam, China, Pakistan, Australia, the United States and India.
