The National Rice Policy Committee will discuss measures to counter the decline of the rice price today. At today's meeting of the National Rice Policy Committee, presided over by PM Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Commerce Ministry and the Thai Rice Farmers Association will propose adjustments to the reference price and the price at buying points.

 Thai Farmers Association Chairman Prasit Booncheuy said farmers can sell their rice at a price lower than the current reference price, resulting in a small subsidy for farmers who register in the government's rice price guarantee program.
