President Aquino Sunday announced the government is exploring options on how to dispose of the extra rice stocks filling government warehouses. The President assured that they would ensure no rice inventory would not go to waste while he emphasized the distribution process must be in accordance with the law. Mr. Aquino said he has directed Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr., Budget Secretary Florencio Abad, and National Food Authority (NFA) administrator Lito Banayo to study distribution options of rice stocks, including the possibility of giving them away to poor families

 "Gusto nating gumawa ng maganda, pero kung hindi tama ang proseso, may kasalanan pa rin tayo dyan (We want to do what is good but if the process is wrong, we might commit a mistake)," Aquino said, after the commemorative rites of the 1st death anniversary of former President Corazon Aquino in La Salle school in Greenhills.
